Idaho Real Estate License Requirements

Governing Body: Idaho Real Estate Commission (www.irec.idaho.gov)
Salesperson Licensing Requirements:
- 18+ Years of age
- US Citizen, US National, or an alien authorized to work in the US
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of salesperson prelicensing course Modules 1 and 2 (90 hours)
- Pass Idaho real estate salesperson licensing exam
Application fee – $160.00
Additional Broker Licensing Requirements:
The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of Idaho.
- Minimum of 2 (of the last 5) years actively holding an Idaho salesperson license, with active experience
- Successful completion of broker’s prelicense course (90 hours) plus 2 electives
- Pass Idaho real estate broker licensing exam
