Vermont Real Estate License Requirements

Governing Body: Vermont Real Estate Commission (www.vtprofessionals.org)

Salesperson license requirements:

  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or legally present in the U.S
  • Successful completion of approved 40 hour prelicense course
  • Successful completion of licensing exam

Application Fee: $50.00

Additional Brokers License Requirements:

The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of  Vermont.

  • Successful completion of an approved 40 clock hours of real estate courses
  • Must have held an active real estate license for atleast 2 years
  • Must have 8 closed transactions
  • Successful completion of broker exam, national and state portions
