New York Real Estate License Requirements

Salesperson license requirements:

  • Successful completion of an approved 75  hour prelicense course
  • Successful completion of New York licensing exam

Application Fee: $50.00

Exam Fee: $15.00

Additional Brokers License Requirements:

The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of New York.

  • Successful completion of an approved 45  hour broker prelicense course AND Must have held an active real estate salesperson license in for at least 2 years.
  • Successful completion of New York broker licensing exam

Application Fee: $150.00

Exam Fee: $15.00

Reciprocal License:  AK, CO, CT, GA, MA, MS, OK, PA, WV
