Minnesota Real Estate License Requirements

Salesperson Licensing Requirements:

• Successful completion of 3 approved prelicensing courses
• Pass Minnesota real estate salesperson licensing exam
• Apply for real estate salesperson license within 1 year of exam date

Application fee – $140.00

Additional Broker Licensing Requirements:

The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of Minnesota.

• Must have held an active real estate salesperson license for atleast 2 years (of the last 5).
• Successful completion of approved real estate broker course
• Pass Minnesota real estate broker licensing exam

Application fee: $220.00

Reciprocal License:  CO, IA, NE, ND, OK, SD, WI
