Hawaii Real Estate License Requirements

Salesperson Licensing Requirements:

  • 18+ Years of age
  • US Citizen, US National, or an alien authorized to work in the US
  • Valid SSN
  • Successful completion of salesperson prelicensing course (or college equivalent)
  • Pass Hawaii real estate salesperson licensing exam
  • Submit application within 2 years of passing real estate salesperson licensing exam

 

Additional Broker Licensing Requirements:

The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of Hawaii.

  • Minimum of 3 (of the last 5) years actively holding a Hawaii salesperson license, with practical experience
  • Successful completion of broker’s prelicense course
  • Pass Hawaii real estate broker licensing exam
