Georgia Real Estate License Requirements

Salesperson Licensing Requirements:
- 18+ Years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Background check
- Successful completion of 75 hour salesperson prelicensing course (or college equivalent)
- Pass Georgia real estate salesperson licensing exam
- Successful completion of a 25 hour post license salesperson course in the first 12 months of licensure
Exam fee – $97.00
Application fee – $170.00 (if within 3 months of passing exam) OR $340.00 (if over 3 months but less than 12 months of passing exam)
Additional Broker Licensing Requirements:
The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of Georgia.
- 21+ Years of age
- Minimum of 3 (of the last 5) years actively holding a Georgia salesperson license
- Successful completion of 60 hour broker’s prelicense course
- Pass Georgia real estate broker licensing exam
Exam fee – $91.00
Application fee – $170.00
Reciprocal License:
If you hold an active real estate license in another state, and would like to apply for reciprocity in Georgia, the following requirements must be met.
- Complete a Secure and Verifiable Document & a Notarized Affidavit
- Submit a non-refundable license fee of $170.00
- Attach state criminal report
- Complete Reciprocal Application
