California Real Estate License Requirements

Salesperson Licensing Requirements:
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or legally present in the U.S
- 18+ Years of age
- Conviction of a felony or a crime may result in denial of license
- Successful completion of 3 approved college-level real estate courses
- Pass California real estate salesperson licensing exam
Exam fee – $60.00
Application and License Fee – $245.00
Additional Broker Licensing Requirements:
The following is a list of additional requirements for obtaining your Broker’s real estate license in the state of California.
- Minimum of two years full-time licensed salesperson experience within the last five years or the equivalent
- Successful completion of 8 approved college level courses
Exam fee – $95.00
Application and License Fee: $300.00
